Our First Career Day

The final day before spring break, our class heard from live and virtual speakers about how they use technology and science in their jobs. We heard from leader in our school district, Dr. Scott Turner, Mr. Tom Taylor, and Mr. Greg Wood, but we also video conferenced with Mr. Jim Robinson in Greenville, SC, Mrs. Christine Decker in Normal, Illinois and Ms. Chrissy Hellyer in Bangkok, Thailand!

Mr. Jeff Gould, Process Engineer for Mack Molding

Mr. Gould joined our class via video that shared his profession and how it included technology, math, and science. Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Gould for all your hard work in sharing Mr. Gould's job with our class!

Our Inventor, Dr. Martin Cooper

This year each class studied a scientist who either influenced the world of technology or an area of science.   My class researched Dr. Martin Cooper, the inventor of the first cell phone.  We developed this video to present our finding about Dr. Cooper:
